WORLD CLASS COACHING International Coaching Seminar Featuring Coaches From Manchester United, Leeds United and Liverpool F.C.

WORLD CLASS COACHING brought together, for the first time ever on American soil, coaches from two of the world’s most successful soccer clubs. This once-in-a-lifetime coaches’ seminar at Connecticut College in New London, CT, on June 8, 9 and 10 2000 featured clinicians from three of England’s top clubs - Sammy Lee of Liverpool, Mick Hennigan of Leeds United and David Williams of Manchester United.

David Williams is the coach of the U19 youth team at Manchester United. Williams is largely responsible for developing the youth players and preparing them for the next step into the professional team. Previously, Williams was the Assistant Manager of the Welsh National Team, Everton and the First Team Coach of Leeds United.

Sammy Lee is the First Team Coach and Assistant Manager to Gerard Houllier at Liverpool. Lee had an outstanding playing career with Liverpool, Brighton and the England National Team.

Michael Hennigan was the Assistant Manager at Leeds United when they beat Manchester United for the Championship in 1992. He was also part of the England U21 National Team staff for the 2000 European Championships with responsibilities for scouting opposing teams.
