WORLD CLASS COACHING International Coaching Seminar Attracts 430 coaches from the U.S. and Overseas

KANSAS CITY, MO, March 4 – Over 400 coaches from 40 different states and four countries attended the WORLD CLASS COACHING International Coaching Seminar at Arrowhead Sports Complex this past weekend (February 28 – March 2) making it the most successful soccer seminar in the region.

The International Coaching Seminar provided club, high school and college soccer coaches with an opportunity to learn from some of the most influential coaches in the US and the UK.  The 430 attendees were treated to a weekend of practical sessions from Bob Gansler of the KC Wizards; Jeff Tipping, the Director of Coaching Education for the National Soccer Coaches Association of America; John Walker, Head Coach of the Nebraska University Women’s team and assistant to the Canadian U17 National team; and Headline Coach David Williams, who traveled from England and shared his experience gained with Manchester United, Leeds United, Everton and the Welsh National Team. Williams a highly regarded former professional player and coach in England also took the time to autograph copies of his new soccer coaching book, "Coaching The English Premier League 4-4-2", recently released in the U.S.

Lamar Hunt Is A Surprise Guest At The Seminar

Lamar Hunt was a surprise guest at the seminar on both Friday and Saturday and took the opportunity to address the coaches, telling them that the game of soccer needs passionate coaches and that players, coaches, owners and administrators all have an important role to play in making the game a success in the US.

David Williams Was Incredible

David Williams conducted five sessions on the 4-4-2 formation as used by the top teams in the English Premier League, Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, etc.  In one session, Williams showed the favorite runs and moves of top players like Theirry Henry, David Beckham, Michael Owen and Ryan Giggs.  Many coaches had traveled in specially to see Williams in action including Clemson Head Coach, Trevor Adair and others from the east and west coast.
