WORLD CLASS COACHING International Coaching Seminar Attracts 630 coaches from the U.S. and Overseas

KANSAS CITY, MO, Feb 25, 2004 – Over 600 coaches from 47 different states and six countries attended the WORLD CLASS COACHING International Coaching Seminar at Arrowhead Sports Complex this past weekend (February 20 – 22) making it the most successful soccer seminar in the region.

The International Coaching Seminar provided club, high school and college soccer coaches with an opportunity to learn from some of the most influential coaches in the U.S.  The 630 attendees were treated to a weekend of practical sessions from Anson Dorrance, University of North Carolina Women's Coach; Janet Rayfield, University of Illinois Women's Coach; Jeff Tipping, the Director of Coaching Education for the National Soccer Coaches Association of America; John Walker, Head Coach of the Nebraska University Women’s team and assistant to the Canadian U17 National team; John Murphy, Columbus Crew Assistant Coach; Sam Saif, Sheffield United F.C. Academy Coach and Mark Francis, Kansas University Women's Coach.

OVER 25O COACHES GAINED DIPLOMA AND LICENSE

Through our relationships with the NSCAA and KSYSA, over 250 of the attending coaches gained their "E" License and NSCAA Advanced Regional Diploma by attending the course.

The clinicians conducted 13 sessions over the weekend.  Many of them focused on the various systems of play used by their teams.  Look for some of the sessions from this seminar in upcoming issues of the WORLD CLASS COACHING magazine.
