LEVEL 1: PRACTICE - Heading for Success

This is a Level 1 session Colours practice that is contributed by pre2dal.

Organisation: 

• Set up two goals at either side of the pitch with a goalkeeper’s area 10 x 10 yards.
• The group is split into two teams; the remaining players become floaters on the outside.

Practice: 

1. The players must use the correct throw, then a head. After the head they can catch and restart with a throw.
2. To score they must head the ball into both goalkeeping areas, the team which scores retains possession until there is an interception.
