LEVEL 1: PRACTICE - TRAFFIC LIGHT

This is a Level 1 session Traffic Light game that is contributed by pre2dal.

Organisation 

  • Grid 20 x 20 yards
  • Each player should be provided with a ball.

 Practice 

  1. Players begin the session by slowly jogging around with the football keeping their head-up.
  2. When the coach holds up a Red Cone, the players must all stop with their foot on the ball.
  3. Introduce the Yellow Cone that means the player must change direction.
  4. Introduce a Green Cone that means the player must increase their speed.
