Organisation
-
Grid 40 x 10 yards
-
1 goal set up at
the 20 yard mark of the grid
-
1 goalkeeper and 6
players (3 players either side of the grid) per grid
Key Points
-
Position of the ball.
-
Part of the foot in contact with the
ball.

Part of the ball that needs to be
struck.

Angle of approach.

Check position of goalkeeper

Practice
-
Initially the blue
player passes the ball to the goalkeeper.
-
Goalkeeper passes
the ball back to the blue player.
-
Goalkeeper turns
around and repeats the process with the red player.
Progression
-
Players strike the
ball to the goalkeeper and the goalkeeper returns the pass.
-
Players shoot on
goal, whilst the ball is stationary, and goalkeeper attempts to save
the ball (rebounds).
-
Players shoot on
goal, whilst the ball is moving, and goalkeeper attempts to save the
ball (rebounds).
-
A player acting as
a server is introduced to feed players the ball from different
angles.
