My ghost is still roaming around here.

Too bad because I am embarking on the long road to the UEFA A license and beyond and this would have been a good place for discussions and input (mainly yours lol).

Glad to see you are still here and have not given up the ghost just yet:) Here is the situation that I have. I have had good success with my u18 team. Two years ago, I lost half of the team to high school graduation. We continued strong last season. We had a great turn-out for try-outs and were able to still carry a full roster. Next month, I will lose the other half of my core of players. My core has been with me since they were 10 years old.

So moving forward to our try-outs for fall soccer, I am hoping for another great turnout and have the opportunity to pick up players that will keep the team moving forward. If try-outs are low, I have the option of pulling from a slightly younger team. This would require additional work by me and the individual player to bring the skill and mental set up. Regardless, half of the U18 team will be new for the fall.

What suggestions do you all have on how to tackle the above situation? Just trying to prepare for what is to come. One more question. When picking your best 11, what are you looking for? The most skilled? The best attitude? Etc... Any thoughts are appreciated.
