With England eliminated, looks like Crouch's mate is now pulling for the Dutch.

If Crouch wasn't a footballer, you'd think he could have hooked up by getting a job on Sesame Street.

Barca and Real finished 20+ points ahead of 3rd place Valencia in La Liga this last season so picking most of their players seems to make sense if you want the best chance of winning wink

Winning it all will justify their approach, which makes sense to me anyway in terms of team cohesion. The more guys already familiar with their teammates style of play, the better.

And what a great comeback line by Crouch.

One hundred and twenty minutes of watching Dutch attackers try to dribble through two or three defenders, and then look to the ref to make everything all better.

The Dutch made all the neutrals want Spain to win.
They were an embarrassment to the games integrity,I'm sorry to say.

What happened to quick ball movement in the attacking third? Almost every time a Dutch attacker got the ball, he hesitated and charted his eventual dribbling penetration. Just absolutely uncreative rubbish.

They were okay at creating opportunities from the defensive and working thirds. Clearly outmatched player by player, but through workrate and passion, they got the ball to teammates in the attacking third actually quite a bit. And the few times they moved the ball around there, they often got a pretty good look at goal.

Robben is just over-rated. Sorry, but a premier striker like he's supposed to be needs to be able to strike the ball with both feet. And he was the hesitater-in-chief today. Even my kid was screaming at him on the TV screen to get the ball off his foot.
